Our Board
Crosby Systems is governed by a strong and diverse board of Directors. The Board comprises of three Executive and three Non-Executive Directors and provides independent judgement on issues of strategy, performance, governance and executive appointments.
Executive Board Members
Chief Executive – Matt Wilson FIET, FBCS, FIoD, FCIM
Matt has gained a distinguished reputation for being an experienced innovative leader, with a proven track record of providing both the vision and execution to maximise business opportunities, coupled with effective strategic and hands-on leadership skills.
Matt has a rare combination of both strong technical and commercial knowledge. Matt is a Chartered IT Professional, Chartered Marketer, holds a certificate in Company Direction from the Institute Of Directors and holds a Masters Level certificate in Business Turnaround from Liverpool John Moores University.
He sits as Chief Technologist for the Younger Members committee of the Institute Of Engineering And Technology (IET), and has recently been asked to join the London Information & Communications committee on consulting proposals for the 2012 London Olympic Games.
Additionally, Matt been elected a Fellow of the Institute of Directors, The Chartered Institute of Marketing, The British Computer Society and the IET. He’s also a Guest Lecturer at Liverpool John Moores University and also mentors young business people with the Liverpool Princess Trust.
In Nov 2011, Matt was also awarded the IET Young Professional of the Year Award for Exceptional Contribution to Engineering from the IET.
Matt is currently Chief Executive of both Crosby Communications PLC and Crosby Systems Limited.

Sales and Marketing Director – Steven Wilson Chartered Marketer, MCIM
Steven is the brother of Matt Wilson and has worked for the Crosby Communications PLC group collectively for over 10 years. He has played an influential role during this period and has been instrumental in the success Crosby has endured.
Today Steven continues to be an important asset in Crosby where he heads up the Sales and Marketing department and is responsible for obtaining corporate clients and implementing group marketing strategy.
He is a member of The Chartered Institute of Marketing and a Chartered Marketer. Additionally, he holds the position of Technology Ambassador for The Chartered Institute of Marketing and Marketing Ambassador for The Institution of Engineering and Technology.
Steven also provides professional marketing consultancy services where he passionately promotes everything is marketing.

Technical Director - Paul Freeman-Powell B.A. (Hons.)
Paul runs the technical department at Crosby Systems and is responsible for overseeing the company’s technical support processes as well as building and maintaining the ever-expanding network on which our services run. He is responsible for determining the overall technical strategy of the business and leads development on all our cutting-edge platforms to maintain our position as renowned market leaders.
He has a background in web development and after achieving success with his own business he was invited to join the Board at Crosby where he continues to provide an invaluable contribution to the direction of the company.
Alongside his technical interests, Paul is also a talented linguist with a degree in Modern European Languages from the University of Liverpool and spent a year living in France and Spain teaching English to local businesses.
Non-Executive Board Members
Non-Executive Director – Andrew J. Tickle MEng, PhD, MIET, MIEEE, MInstP
Andrew J. Tickle received an M.Eng(Hons) degree in Electrical Engineering and Electronics from The University of Liverpool, U.K. in 2005 and was ranked fourth in his year.
He obtained a Ph.D. degree in the field of Computer Electronics and Robotics from the same University in 2009. His research interests include embedded system development, digital signal processing, security management technologies, mobile robotic design and construction and electronics for astrophysical applications.
He worked as an Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) Ph.D. Plus Research Fellow from 2009 to 2010 whilst serving as a University Teacher (UT) at Liverpool from 2009 to 2011.
Dr Tickle is currently a Lecturer of Electrical / Electronic Engineering at Coventry University.
He is a Chartered Engineer (CEng) and currently a member of the IET, IEEE, IOP and SPIE and has assisted and chaired several conferences and event technical committee panels.
Non-Executive Director – Robert Buckley
Rob has a proven background in the paper industry working with leading paper manufacturers to develop new products, improve efficiencies and create opportunities for growth.
His specialist skills include: strategy development, project management and operations management.
Non-Executive Director – Lindsey Muir
Lindsey Muir is a senior lecturer in strategic management with over 20 years experience of leading the subject and delivering to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. She has worked extensively with external organisations in both the private and public sector and her research interests include strategic management in professional service firms with a special interest in legal services.
Company Secretary / Finance Executive - Peter Benson
Peter is Company Secretary and Finance Executive of Crosby Communications PLC and Crosby Systems and is responsible for the day-to-day running of the group and is also PA to Chief Executive Matt Wilson.
He has played an instrumental part in the restructuring of Crosby Communications PLC since his arrival in 2010 and is regarded as a crucial member of the team.
Peter is a qualified Business Administrator and is committed to enhancing his financial skills by working towards an AAT qualification.
