The event was made even more significant with the launch of new degree schemes at the University focusing on Cloud Computing and Multimedia. With other talks from experts at Essex University and in industry, followed by an expert Q&A panel, the event was deemed a great success by the organisers.

Crosby Systems.

Chartered Engineer is one of the most recognisable international engineering qualifications and is issued by several institutions including the Institute of Engineering and Technology.

Engineer and Entrepreneur, Matt, 34, serves as Chief Executive Officer of Crosby Systems.

Matt said: “I am really pleased to have been awarded the Chartered Engineer qualification and proud to represent engineering as a whole.  I feel that this qualification will further strengthen the board of directors at Crosby, and with my combined engineering and commercial experience I plan to use these skills to advance Crosby Systems to new markets, contribute to the development of new technical products and drive innovation in the communications industry.

Matt is a fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), Europe’s largest engineering professional body which awards Chartered Engineer to more recipients than any other institution.  Once awarded, the IET register Chartered Engineers with the Engineering Council UK, who are the regulatory authority for registration of professional engineers and technicians.

Additionally, Matt is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors, Chartered Institute of Marketing, British Computer Society and is a Chartered IT Professional (CITP). In 2011 he won the IET Young Professional of the Year 2011 Award for Exceptional Contribution to Engineering.
