Live Audio Streaming
Crosby can stream live audio over the phone, either by itself (at the end of a telephone number) or as part of a bigger application.
We can stream any live content that can be sent to us either over the internet or via a private link.
Feeds for live audio could come from:
- Live Commentary of a football match or horse racing event
- A Live music event, concert or orchestra
- Outside broadcast events
- Live TV or Radio
- Live link up from telephone conference calls with other providers or other countries
- Live news or syndicated news streams
- Your own or a feed or your choice
Crosby can also play live video streams down a telephone call, by splitting off the audio part and playing a continuous audio stream to callers, calling into a telephone number of your choice.
Live audio streams over the phone can give audiences access to listen to a live or recorded event, and be used to add value to an existing service, brand or event or even create an additional revenue stream for its owner.
Channel Four’s ‘Big Brother’ used this service during broadcasting in 2001, which allowed callers to listen to events live in the Big Brother House.
